Assessment
The assessment stage is fundamental to a successful SEA as it is here that potential significant effects of implementing a Plan on the environment are identified and a view is taken on how such effects can be effectively reduced or eliminated.
Identifying and evaluating the potential effects on the environment of implementing a Plan and its alternatives is one of the fundamental parts of the SEA process.
