Mitigation involves the identification of measures which are envisaged to prevent, reduce and as far as possible offset any adverse environmental effects that have been found in the assessment.
Acting to enhance environmental benefits and opportunities for incorporating enhancement measures into the Plan should also be explored for any neutral, uncertain and minimal effects identified.
